The intention of "The Whistler's Radio Flier" is to bring awareness to the almost forgotten media of American theatrical radio. To bring something old and new, in this technological age, to those who pass by and take the opportunity to listen to a media that has seen better days in the United States. The "Flier" intends to show the quality, quantity and variety of programmes produced during the very short period known as "The Golden Age Of Radio". To give an understanding of the history of what is known today as "Old Time Radio".

I don't upload anything on Multiply anymore. I am moving some of the files over to my new ning site. Right now I am uploading some stuff to 4share, because the files are really big and it takes too long on ning.
I didn't know about the native American VP in the 1930's. No, we don't hear a lot of stuff in the news.
I am having a pretty busy week end. We had an empty nest for two years and now one of our daughters moved back in and this week end our son is moving back in. So, we will have a full house again and it will be busier.

How do you organize your files on your hard drive? Do you classify them by genre or some other way? What I have been doing is downloading shows then burning them to disk when the drive gets too much on it. As a result, I have a big mess which I wanted to straighten out with the external hard drive. I can better see what I actually have and eliminate duplicates and bad files.
Once I determine my classification system, I need to standardize how each file is named. I know that a lot of people use Otter, but from what I understand, it doesn't work on Vista. What would you suggest? I wish I knew how to use one of those bulk rename programs. I tried but I just couldn't figure it out.
One thing I have noticed is that when I copy the otr files to the new hard drive I get messages that say that the file has properties that won't copy. Do you know what that means? I'd say that at least 90 percent of these files come from a particular individual. I did copy the files to the hard drive and they did play back, but out of satisfying my intellectual curiosity, I'd like to know what these properties are or if this is a Vista thing. These are all otr shows where I am getting the message; none are pop music. I didn't want to put commonly available things (like music) on the hard drive and concentrate on things that are hard to replace.
