You can always go to the BBC website and listen to BBC Radio 7. Just the only place on the planet where radio doesn't take second place to television and never did.

I am pretty sure that in the States they deliberately killed radio off.

I however, have high hopes that with all the new gadgets like mp3 players and satellite radio that theatrical radio will come back.
